Update [8/27/17]:

Spectator Info: The Red Sox have recently informed us that Spectators will be welcomed into the park free of charge on the night of the marathon. Spectators can enter at Gate D. A section of seats will be set aside for spectators along the 1st base line. Spectators will be free to enter/exit the park as they wish throughout the course of the race. The Red Sox are also looking into opening concessions the night of the marathon, and also possibly opening the Bleacher Bar during the race as well. More info to come!

Hi Friends,

On Friday September 15, 2017 at 5pm I will be running the Inaugural Fenway Park Marathon. The marathon will be run entirely inside Fenway Park, with the course consisting of 112 laps around the warning track. I will be one of only 50 participants.

As you can imagine, as a lifelong Sox fan and passionate long-distance runner, I am super excited. With this race, I'll get to experience two of my favorite things at the same time!

In all my 80+ marathons and ultramarathons, this is the first time I've ever run a race where I will be raising money to benefit a charity. All funds raised will benefit the Red Sox Foundation, which helps strengthen programs for at-risk children and youth within our community, in addition to supporting the Jimmy Fund.

The Red Sox Scholars Program, run by the team charity, provides mentoring, connections to after-school programs, enrichment activities and college scholarships to talented but economically disadvantaged Boston Public School students.

The Red Sox Foundation RBI/Rookie Youth Baseball and Softball program, uses children and teens love of baseball to teach important leadership skills to more than 2,000 inner-city youngsters each year.

Thank you so much for your love and support!

- Ryan

About Red Sox Foundation

The Red Sox Foundation, the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox. Our goal is to harness the passion our fans have for the Red Sox and transform it into a vehicle for positive exchange in our community.

Each year the Red Sox Foundation also makes a limited number of small grants to select nonprofits in New England on a rotating basis and we also work with Front Office members, sponsors and volunteers of Red Sox Nation on a variety of community service projects.

As a 501c3 nonprofit (tax ID #33-1007984), donations to the Red Sox Foundation are tax-deductible.
