Nathan Thompson

On September 15th, 2017, I will be 1 of only 50 runners in the first ever Fenway Park marathon. It's the first time that a marathon is being run entirely in a sports stadium. And I've been going to Fenway since I was a kid. My Grandfather would take me and reminisce about Ted Williams playing left field. Now I will run past the Green Monster 116 times in this marathon and give the Monster a good tap each time. I've been a Red Sox season ticket holder for 20 years, but this will be an experience like no other!

In order to participate, I've agreed to raise money for the Red Sox Foundation. It's a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports many worthy causes, including: The Jimmy Fund at the Dana Farber Cancer Center, The Home Base Program at Mass General Hospital and The Dimock Center, among others. If at all possible, please help me achieve my fundraising goal of $5000.00 by September 10th to support these worthwhile causes, and all donations are fully tax deductible.

This will be my 50th marathon, and hopefully, with your help, my most memorable!

About Red Sox Foundation

The Red Sox Foundation, the official team charity of the Boston Red Sox. Our goal is to harness the passion our fans have for the Red Sox and transform it into a vehicle for positive exchange in our community.

Each year the Red Sox Foundation also makes a limited number of small grants to select nonprofits in New England on a rotating basis and we also work with Front Office members, sponsors and volunteers of Red Sox Nation on a variety of community service projects.

As a 501c3 nonprofit (tax ID #33-1007984), donations to the Red Sox Foundation are tax-deductible.
